ANNUAL EVENTS

FREE YOUTH NIGHTS

  • September 20th, 2020
  • October 18th, 2020
  • November 15th, 2020

Here at Gretna Glen we want to update you about our upcoming Free Youth Night Events. We are excited to continue to offer this event as a resource to you and your church community. Our schedule will feel similar to previous Free Youth Events, however we have changed the time to 2:00pm-4:30pm in order to have day light into the winter months. These events will be completely outside. We encourage you to ask your youth and volunteers to dress appropriately with warm layers.

Gretna Glen is very conscious of COVID-19 and we are continuing our due diligence to clean and prepare our facilities for you and your youth.

What we’re doing:

  • Following Federal, State and Local recommendations
  • Diligently cleaning surfaces, restrooms, and areas of human contact (yes, even the gaga ball)
  • Providing handwashing opportunities and sanitizing areas around our site.
  • Planning programs which limit physical contact and maximize connection.
  • Planning snacks that are Grab and Go!
  • Requesting RSVPS (new to this school year) so that we can adequately prepare and monitor group sizes. Click here to use our RSVP Google Document.  We will need the names of each student you plan to bring, but this is very flexible and you will be able to edit this up to and at the event.
  • Encouraging you to make the best decisions for your group.

Please check your temperature prior to coming to Gretna Glen. Upon arrival all guests will be temp checked with a touch-free thermometer. Any guest with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher will be asked to go home.

Fall Fun Day

October 18th, 2020 - 12:00-3:00pm

Fall leaves, hot dogs, s'mores, and cider will add to a fun afternoon of activities at Gretna Glen.

UNITED METHODIST CONFIRMATION CAMP

  • April 9-11th, 2021
  • April 16-18th, 2021

Campers will arrive Friday at 7:00 p.m. and depart
Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

Confirmation classes by Church                   Cost: $90per person
The weekend is focused on the five vows of affirmation- prayer, witness, gifts, service, and presence. Each vow comes alive as confirmands participate in hands on activities, discussions, and reflections that help draw connections from the act of confirmation as the start of a full time life of faith.
